Yellow figures denote the number of persons per acre, covered by occupied houses. The thick black lines on the map indicate the boundaries of the Registration Sub-Districts of Manchester, the thin black lines within the black ones show the Sanitary Districts into which each Registration Sub-District is divided, and the black figures are those by which the Sanitary Districts are numbered.
