The University of Manchester's archives are wide-ranging collection of records and documents which form part of the the corporate memory of the University. They are an important part of the University's cultural heritage, and a significant research resource. The archives are managed by the Library on behalf of the University. The archives include a collection of several thousand photographs of University buildings, staff and events, dating from the mid-19th century to the present day. This on-line collection shows a selection of photographs of both the University of Manchester and UMIST campuses. Please visit: University Archives for further information about the University Archives.
