Purbeck. Monochrome map with very rich detail including cities, place names and rivers. Illustrations of buildings and animals. Bottom right is a scale bar showing 'Scale Miliarium. Septentrio, Meridies, Oriens, Occidens (Latin for North, South, East and West) are printed around the edges. Along the bottom is printed: ' Photo-lithographic facsimile of a Map of the Isle of Purbeck drawn by Ralph Treswell about 1585-6. Preserved at Kingston Lacy' .
