Cumberland & Westmoreland. The decorated cartouche top left contains a dedication: 'To the hon. Sr James Lowther of Lowther in Westmoreland, Bart. Lieutenant & Custos Rotalorum of Westmoreland and Lieutenant of Cumberland this map is humbly inscribed'. The cartouche at lower right contains the title and 'From the best surveys & Intelligences. Illustrated with historical extracts relative to natural history produce, trade & manufactures. Shewing also the rectories & vicarages, with various other improvements. 1760.' It is decorated with flowers, greenery and a green man.
