Letter to Robert Bridgeman of Lichfield, the sculptor of the statues in the Reading Room of the John Rylands Library, from W. Linnell. This letter accompanies the response from Bridgeman concerning the statue of Johann Gutenberg and Mrs Rylands' comments regarding the shoes and beard. William Linnell was a senior director of Rylands & Sons. He advised Mrs Rylands during the building of the John Rylands Library and was a trustee from 1899 until his death in 1901.
