George Thompson waiting for admission into the House of Lords; departure of the anti-slavery delegates from London, and creation of the Central Negro Emancipation Committee, with Dr Palmer as Sec; newspaper, entitled The British Emancipator, to be published fortnightly and distributed in the colonies; plans to carry on work of agitation as widely as possible; request of the Committee for GT's services, with 6 months' salary and expenses, and GT's desire for the opinions of his wife and the Edinburgh and Glasgow societies regarding this, since the demands of the London Society would be greater than those of the Committee in Scotland and would keep him longer away from home; forthcoming public meeting in Bath [Som]; social visit to Arthur West esq; visit to GT's mother, and her health; anti- slavery petition to be presented by Lord Brougham; GT's busy schedule and demands from across the country, and his desire to be home and to settle down with his family.
