Autograph letter of reply to the bookseller Tarride. Delighted by the success of a work just published (obviously Napoléon le Petit), Hugo enlists Tarride's help in arranging to push its sales and produce a reprint.

Bought from Martin Breslauer (London) on 10 March 1966 for £45 (this sum, found in the University's accession catalogue could be incorrect).
