Autograph letter to Blanc saying bitterly that from June to August, newspapers published the names of distinguished people who were appointed members of the Shakespeare Committee. His son, who translated Shakespeare in French was however not invited until October; Hugo thinks it is too late. He adds that he is coming back from an absence of six weeks.
