This very brief text Niṣāb Tajnīs al-Alfāẓ a versified vocabulary of Arabic, Eastern Turkish, and Persian, probably spuriously attributed to Jāmī (1414–1492) given the very late date of extant copies known. Nevertheless, the work enjoyed considerable circulation, especially as printed editions. The text consists of an introduction in Persian (1b*) and 21 qiṭʿah (sections); both the introduction and chapters comprise ghazal (lyric) poems. The terms range from words for God discussed in the initial qıṭʿah, to imperative verb forms.
