Manuscript volume with three sheets (of various sizes) of handwritten notes and statistics on the transatlantic slave trade: No. 1: table of voyages by slaving ships, recording the names of ships, where the slaves were embarked, where they were sold, [?the value of] the cargos, the numbers of enslaved sold, the numbers who died, the total price realised, the average price of each enslaved person, and the year of the voyage, 1744-66; No. 2: notes on voyages to Africa trading enslaved people, copper, ivory, wood, salt, etc., c 1774-87;
No. 3: notes on individual ships involved in the transatlantic slave trade, recording the dates of voyages, the ports at which they called, and the numbers of enslaved people conveyed. The sheets were originally bound up with a collection of printed tracts on enslavement.
