Description:
Dhammapada: Ola leaf Manuscript in Sinhalese characters in a good state of preservation. Handwriting clear and large. Leaves 5-17 (numbered u to ah), this is the second work in the bundle containing 11 texts (Pali MSS 18-28) from the Khuddakanikāya (Minor Collection or Collection of Little Texts): Khuddakapāṭha, Dhammapada, Udāna, Itivuttaka, Sutta-Nipāta, Vimānavatthu, Petavatthu, Theragāthā, Therīgāthā, Jātaka, Paṭisambhidāmagga. The text starts on the obverse of leaf "u" [= folio 5a] and ends on the reverse of leaf "aḥ" [= folio 16b] in all 32 folios. Folios are not numbered; character numerals following the Sanskrit alphabetical order are used for numbering and these are written in the left-hand margin on the obverse of the leaf. Size: 70 mm x 620 mm, with margins 147 mm left and right, each folio with a single string through twin holes in each leaf holding them together, with two lacquered dark brown wooden boards as covers for all eleven manuscripts.
