Description:
Full-page miniature of the Dominical Feast days: Entry into Jerusalem. Christ, seen full-face seated on the donkey, is holding a scroll and blessing at the same time. He is followed by two apostles and greeted by two elderly bearded figures with halos, one holding a single branch. A large tree stretches the full-length of the picture; it divides into two main branches, and at their juncture stands the small full-frontal figure of Zacchaeus with a saw in one hand cutting a branch, and with the other hand holding a branch. Below, in the far right corner, there is an elegant girl with long hair and a yellow dress, placing a white garment at the front feet of the donkey; another garment is put conveniently under the hooves of the donkey's hind legs. The plain background is painted principally in scarlet, the sky is bright yellow with a touch of blue, and the tree in light green.
