The articles begin on folio one with 'The Oaks' an article detailing the work being undertaken at The Oaks in preparation for the move of the Ashburnian students to their new premises*. On the verso of folio two are the 'Hockey Notes', signed 'G.M.W.' detailing the matches through January and February. Following overleaf is an account of 'The Fresher's Social'. Next on the verso of folio four is the Editorial. The notes document that there have been some welcome contributions to the edition from Old Ashburnians, including Margaret Phillips, who has sent some more accounts of her travels in China. Opposite of folio five is a letter to the Ashburnians from Agnes Parker entitled 'Written on the train between Marseille and Montpellier'. This is followed on folio seven by 'Travels in the Far East'; the travel notes of Margaret Phillips. The instalment finishes on folio ten, with the note that the account is to be continued. On the verso of folio ten are some concluding notes that cover the recent Dance, the hope to stage a Tennis tournament over the summer and (weather permitting) of plans to host the annual picnic and Ancoats Party. *The hall moved from the original 'Ashburne House' in Victoria Park to The Oaks in 1910, which was subsequently re-named as Ashburne Hall.
