Description:
A table ('number 11') detailing the general state of the black population; factories, cattle, crops, and commodities exported to France, from each Canton of the colony of Saint-Domingue 1st January to 31st December 1788. Commodities listed are white and raw sugar, indigo, cotton coffee, cocoa, taffia (rum), and sirop (syrup). The amounts are established in the financial account made by intendant François Barbé-Marbois and deposited with the Navy in the Port-au-Prince 14 July 1789. The lower section summarizes the number of the black inhabitants, the number of beasts, the extent of cultivated land, the number of factories, the quota of exports during the year 1788.
