This CRE Code, which was admissible in court proceedings under the Race Relations Act 1976. Together with the CRE's Code of Practice in Rented Housing, meant that all forms of housing tenure were covered by guidance designed to eliminate racial discrimination. The guide was aimed at helping all organisations involved in housing to avoid racial discrimination and to promote equal opportunities.
