Dante Alighieri 'La Commedia' printed by Bonino Bonini with Commentator. This is the first edition to have an extended series of illustrations for the poem. Contains Inf. 4.19 - Inf. 4.42 and Commentator by Cristoforo Landino on Inf. 4. The text of the poem is found on the left hand side of the page, surrounded by the Commentator. There are ink corrections to the printed text. The annotations are in two different hands surrounding the poem; glosses with annotations in lower margin: 'b. rio per Reità │ d. i. e. afflitti'.
