Dante Alighieri 'La Commedia' printed by Bonino Bonini with Commentator. This is the first edition to have an extended series of illustrations for the poem. Contains Inf. 3.1 - Inf. 3.12 and Commentator by Cristoforo Landino on Inf. 3. The text of the poem is found on the left hand side of the page, surrounded by the Commentator. There is a manicule in left-hand margin and ink corrections to the printed text. There is also faded annotation in the right-hand margin (partially cut due to rebinding).
