Wooler's British Gazette, Manchester Observer, Saturday, May 18, 1822, new series 35. A newspaper initially formed by a group of radicals that included Joseph Johnson, John Knight, John Saxton and James Wroe; published in Manchester. In June 1821 the Manchester Observer ceased publication. It was revived in August, the same year, with the help of T.J. Wooler and became associated with (but not merged into) his exsiting London paper Wooler's British Gazette.
