Partially erased manuscript inscription at head of leaf: "Recessi Con[vent]us f[rat]ri Min[orum] R... [illegible] Con... [illegible] ...onaons[?] R [illegible] D Jacobi [illegible] 1696 2 apr..." (the rest trimmed off). On leaf a twelve-line puzzle initial 'P' in interlocked red and blue, with decorative maiblumen infill in purple, blue and green, and purple maiblumen surround, the tail of the initial extending down the entire inner margin with maiblumen surround including a grotesque (upper half of a human figure blowing from its mouth and holding an apple) and pen-flourished in purple; nine-line puzzle initial 'P' on the same page in interlocked red and blue, with purple and blue foliate infill in an alternate tile pattern, and purple maiblumen surround extending down the entire length of the middle margin.
