Unidentified fifteenth- or sixteenth-century Italian[?] coat of arms at foot of leaf: gules a fess azure between in chief three spurs[?] or and in base three fleurs de lys or (di rosso, alla fascia d'azzurro, accompagnata in capo da tre speroni d'oro, e in punta tre gigli d'oro); crest a white cat holding a spur on a closed helm, with mantling argent and gules. Decoration: an illuminated six-line initial 'D' in gold with white vine-stem decoration extending into the inner margin on a blue ground and coloured in blue, green and red with white dots; in lower margin a curving gold frame containing a coat of arms with a crest and mantling, with blue and pink flowers and black pen-work. Illuminated initials in gold with white vine-stem decoration coloured in blue, green and red with white dots.
