Decoration: contemporary Venetian illumination, in the style of the Pico Master who was active in Venice and Ferrara ca. 1460-ca. 1505 (continuously in Venice 1469-1495). Main initials are supplied in green, pink, and blue intertwined acanthus leaves, sometimes resembling ribbons, on a gold ground, with extensions to form a border of floral pink, blue, and green within circular gold vine stems. On leaf 5-line initial with a skull.
