On final leaf, dated manuscript inscription, heavily washed-out, which reads: "Liber est R[everendissi]mi p[at]ris et d[omi]ni d[octor]is Joannis fabri [episcopi?] V[iennensis?] / propriis et [non?] episcopatus pecuniis emptu[s] et post morte[m] / ipsius in Bibliothecam Collegii suj Divij Nicolaj ad usu[m] / inhabitantium studentium et studiosor[um] iuxta suam ordina / tionem collocandus / Actum X Ianuarij Anno a Christo nato / MDXL / Ex singularj mandato [et?] ex / ore ipsius R[everensissi]mi E[pisco]pi Jacobus / Kiechlin[?]". This records the bequest of the book by Johannes Faber (1478-1541), Bishop of Vienna on 10 January 1540 to the library of the College of S. Nicolaus, Vienna. The inscription is in the hand of Jacobus Kiechlin. Johannes Faber founded the College of S. Nicolaus (Nikolaikloster), Vienna, in 1539/40 and his library was left there by contract of 10 January 1540. This inscription, signed with various names, appears in other books which were part of the same bequest.
