Decoration: illuminated initial 'S' in gold, with white vine-stems defined in blue, green, and red, on a blue ground with white dots, extending into the margins and terminating in bunched finials with black pen-work rays and gold dots; in the lower margin a green wreath containing an unidentified coat of arms of a red goat salient on a white shield on a blue ground; the extension in the outer margin was added at a later date when the leaf was re-margined; also on leaf 2-line initial 'P' in gold on a pink and blue ground divided diagonally.
