A daguerreotype portrait of a young man with dark hair, wearing a black necktie. The image is the second of four housed within the same locket, likely to be portraits of the same family. The round locket is gold or gold-plated with a hanging ring, both sides are decoratively engraved and the word 'Mother' is inscribed onto one side.
