Photographic brooch, containing a daguerreotype portrait of a young man. The portrait is set in a decorative oval frame under glass and a chain and pin attaches the brooch to clothing. The back of the brooch is glass and displays brown hair that has been woven into a neat geometric pattern. Set in a brown leather case the lid is lined with silk and the base where the brooch sits with red velvet.
