View of Kirkstall Abbey, a ruined Cistercian monastery founded c.1152. Foliage is clearly visible climbing over the ruined stonework. The abbey is in Kirkstall, Leeds, on the north bank of the River Aire. It was disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII.
