Two women carrying a large tray of [cakes] into a cart. Cart has a sign stating: J.Lyons & Co. Ltd. Universal Caterers. J.Lyons was founded in 1886 as a catering business. In 1894 it was incorporated into a public company and established its head office and food factories at Cadby Hall in Hammersmith. It was one of the largest food factories in the UK.
