Description:
Internal view dominated by a black and white [tiled] decorated floor. It is a high ceilinged room with partially wood panel lining the walls. There are two elaborate chandeliers with ball shaped light shades hung from circular ceiling roses. There is a large stone fireplace, where the over mantel is decorated with the coat of arms of the 2nd Earl of Warrington. (This features a shield with boar on either side). To the side of the mantel is an oil painting of Turpin, the Harlequin Great Dane, painted in 1778. There is a bust of a male figure placed on top of the over mantel shelf. There is a patterned rug in front of the wrought iron fire guard. There are two plinths with small sculptured figures on. It has three marbled topped tables visible. There are two walnut high-back chairs c1690, and 5 other wooden chairs around the walls. The panels are hung with numerous unidentified paintings. There are two doors at the far side of the room; one has a staircase visible through it.
