Albumen print of the north doorway exterior of Edstaston church (St. Mary’s), Shropshire. The doorway has a single shaft and several recessed arches, including one with dog tooth decoration. Above the arch is a human face corbel. The original late 12th century wooden door its original ironwork. A tattered bill posted on the door has the heading ‘Election. Guardians of the poor [illegible] union.’ The rest of the bill is illegible except for ‘William Owen’ at the bottom.
