Description:
Albumen print of the exterior of Waverton church (St. Peter’s), Cheshire. Sandstone church tower in three stages. The side facing has a four-light perpendicular window. Above this are square openings with quatrefoils, a single string course, three-light bell openings and an embattled parapet. The pyramidal roof is recessed and shingled. The doorway is Tudor in style. The side on the left has a clock on the second stage and three-light bell openings on the third. On the left of the tower is the main church building. To the left and right of the church are thatched buildings, partially seen. In the foreground is a grassed area with a stone wall, five bar gate and small stone building.
