Description:
The Dye house exterior (Since demolished); the old dye house from the Manchester Municipal College of technology which was located on the corner of Whitworth Street and Cobourg Street where the extension to the main UMIST building currently stands. The picture is shot from the north side of Whitworth Street looking back across to the single storey buildings frontage along the cobbled road to the junction with Cobourg Street. On the reverse of the image has been written the following “5. The dye house the corner of Whitworth St and Cobourg St opened 21st July 1903”.
