Description:
A small row of terraced houses on Jackson Street (since demolished). Image is taken from the north side of the cobbled street in front of the Jackson Street mill facing south west to include the somewhat dilapidated looking houses and to the west of them across an area of cleared ground a brick industrial building. All of the buildings in the picture were cleared to make way for the expansion of the southern UMIST campus and indeed Jackson Street itself no longer exists. The site is now the location of the Ferranti building and the landscaped area that surrounds it.
