Description:
Black and white photograph of the interior of the Roscoe lab. Taken at ground level from the western end of the lab [now part of Student Services], the shot is angled east and shows a number of unidentified, rather bored-looking students / members of staff dressed in suits, the majority of whom are lined up down the centre of the room facing the photographer. To either side of this central aisle there is a row of lab benches which are covered with various bottles, phials and scientific paraphernalia. The wall to the right is lined with large windows which would have looked out onto Burlington Street. The original picture was taken by London and county photographic Co, Bromley, Kent.
