Hobhouse believes that once the opposing forces meet, this will make it difficult to resume conflict, likening the situation to the Boer War; alleges German soldiers are calling regular truces and conversing with [enemy] forces. Hobhouse conveys concern over women's suffering [because of war] as well as press censorship, which she presses [Scott] to report on in the Manchester Guardian.
