Severely damaged SSD in three pieces. The surface has been destroyed by something with an abrasive surface. It was part of a MacBook Pro Model A1398, used by journalists preparing stories based on the Snowden files. It once held copies of secret National Security Agency (NSA) files leaked to the Guardian by Edward Snowden. The computers were destroyed at Kings Place on the instructions of GCHQ. A variety of power tools were used, including an angle grinder and a degausser.
