The note is addressed to Vesey. Possibly written in Horace Walpole's hand, it states that Walpole will wait on Mrs Vesey but that 'with all his regard for her, hopes she will not interpret it as a Visit solely for her sake'. Below this in Vesey's hand to Hamilton is a note about Sir William Hamilton whom she says all her friends are 'so fond of' and asks that she be introduced to him.
