Description:
The letter relates to society and friends. The King has gone to Cheltenham to take the waters and Murray hopes that they will be of benefit but notes 'don't you think it a punishment, for his laughing so much at water drinking places, and he is forced to submit to go himself and experience their virtues'. The letter also touches on Murray's view of society. She writes that the world is as always as it was with 'a certain portion of virtue & vice...but fashion makes some ages more elegant than others'
