Description:
Vellum roll depicting a chronological history from the creation to 15th century France. It contains 65 painted medallions. This frame tells how the Philistines defeat Israel in battle, and also of the Trojan War. The medallions show the ruin of the city of Troy (16), Aeneas (17), Priam (18), Turtus (19) and Helenus (20) leaving Troy in ships to found new settlements, and David in armour (21).
