Description:
Beginning of the psalter in large coloured capitals. Much of the page is occupied by a large zoomorphic initial 'B' filled with panels of interlace, rosettes and acanthus, terminating in birds' or serpents' heads. Psalm one: 'Beatus vir...non sedit'; the 'E' and 'A' are interlace filled, the letters of the first four lines drawn in double lines and the remainder written in ink and filled with colour, diminishing in size down the page. The elements of the colour scheme are red, green, yellow, purple and blue.
