Description:
Gospel of Mark: the end of chapter sixteen. Red rubrication and a pen-flourished initial 'L' in red and blue ink introduces the prologue to the Gospel of Luke. Red rubrication and a decorated initial 'I' with a floral infill on a burnished gold background introduces the first chapter of the gospel. There is a manicule in the margin. I-shaped border with floriate extensions terminating in acanthus leaves, ivy leaves, bezants, etc.
