Description:
Fall of Princes. Book six: Fortunata goes on to talk about Scipio, consul of Rome at the time of the wars between Caesar and Pompey. Fortunata claims that his downfall was due to the mailce of the Roman people. Next is the tale of Fanaticus who rose to power by trickery, but Fortunata tells Boccaccio that she wearied of him after a while and let him fall from her wheel. Similarly, Fortunata helped a shepherd called Athenion for a time. Small illuminated and coloured initials introduce the verses. The written space is 285 x 200 mm in two columns and the script is rather an ugly and unstable anglicana formata.
