Description:
Siege of Troy. Book five: the story of Eneas (Aeneas) and Dido the Queen of Carthage is related in Virgil's 'Eneid' (Aeneid). Lydgate returns to the story of how Orestes avenges Agamemnon's murder. Now a man, Orestes vows to recover the heritage denied him by Egisthus (Aegisthus) and gathers many knights. He then allies himself with King Forentius whose daughter Egisthus deserted in favour of Clytemnestra. The written space is 305 x 200 mm, 2 columns and 44 lines and the script is anglicana formata by two hands.
