Description:
Siege of Troy. Book five: Palamedes was killed by Paris at Troy but his father King Naulus, on hearing the false tale of his death, is determined to punish the Greeks. Naulus and his son Oetes light fires on the hills of their island which the Greeks make for as they pass, and as a result wreck a number of their ships, killing many men. Oetes also writes to Clytemnestra, the wife of Agamemnon. Oetes tells her that Agamemnon has married a Trojan woman and intends to banish Clytemnestra. The written space is 305 x 200 mm, 2 columns and 44 lines and the script is anglicana formata by two hands.
