Description:
Siege of Troy. Book two: Lydgate tells us that Guido delle Colonne speaks ill of women generally and especially of Helen for going to the temple in his account. Although Lydgate tells us this is not his own opnion he must relate the words of Guido in his narrative. Guido blames Helen's desire for seeking out Paris, suggesting she should have stayed in her room. There is an illuminated initial 'O' in the text. The written space is 305 x 200 mm, 2 columns and 44 lines and the script is anglicana formata by two hands.
