Description:
The story of how Vortigern settles in Wales and tries to builda castle, but it constantly falls before completion. He is told that the castle will only stand if the foundations are sprinkled with blood. Rubrication in red ink and a pen-flourished initial introduce the tale of how Vortigern calls for Merlyne. The written space is 175 x 135 mm in several secretary hands throughout the manuscript.
