There is a nota bene at the side of the rubrication pointing out that the in the rubric for this and some of the following chapters 'octogesimo' has been mistakenly used for 'sexagesimo'. The words 'Edward I' are written in the top margin. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial 'A' introduce the tale of the crowning of Edward, who was a worthy and much loved King. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

were as faderles children wiþoute ony socour þat ham mighte maigtene and gou(er)ne and defende aȝens here dedly enemys Of king Edwarde þ(t) was king Henries sone [...] Capitulo Centesimo octogesimo p(ri)mo. And after þis king [...] Henry regnede his sone Edward. þe worþiest knyght of al þe world of hono(ur) for godes g(ra)ce was in him. for he had þe victorie of his enemys // And as sone as king Henry deide: he come to Londou(~) with a fair compaignye of p(re)lates. and of Erles and Barouns: and alle manere men. deden him muche hono(ur). for in euery place þere þat sire Edward roode in Lon done þe stretes were cou(er)ed ou(er) his heued with riche cloþis of silke of tapitȝ and wiþ riche cou(er)ynge // And for ioye of his comynge: þe noble burgeys of þe citee. caste out at hire wyn dowes gold and siluer handes ful in tokenynge of loue & of worshipe s(er)uiseȝ and reu(er)enceȝ // And out of þe condit of Chepe ran whit wyn and rede as stremes doth of wat(er) and eu(er)y man þ(er) of myghte drinke at hire owene wille. // And þis king Edward was crouned and anoynted as right heire of Engelond w(t) muchele hono(ur) and after mas- se þe king wente in to his palays for to halde a real feste among(es) ham þ(t) him had don hono(ur) // And whanne he was sette vnto his mete: þe king Alisaundere of Scotlond come for to done him honour and reu(er)ence with a queyntise and an .C. knyghtes with him wel horsed and arrayede & whanne þey were ligtht a doun(~) of hire stedes þey lete ham gon whider þat þey wolde. and who þat myghte take ham toke at hire owene wille wiþouten ony chalange // And aft(er) ward come S(ir) Symound. king Edwardus broþ(er). a curteys knyȝt and a gentil of renoun(~). and þe erl of Cornewaille and þe erl. of Gloucestr(e) and aftir ham come þe erl of Penbrok. and þe erl. of Garrenne. and ech of ham by ham self hadde in here hande an.
