The tale of how King John seizes the property of the church, and how the archbishops then request that he give it back, and accept Stephen as Archbishop of Canterbury. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial 'W' introduce the tale of how Stephen the Archbishop arrives in England. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.
