ascapede away wiþoute ony manere harme. and þo toke þe king þe citee and duellede þ(er)inne til Candelmasse // And þo come þe Barouns þat helde wiþ þe Emp(er)esse. þat is for to say þe Erl Randulphe of Chestr(e). þe Erl Robert of Gloucestr(e). Hugh. Bygot. Robert of Moleye. and broughte w(t) ham a strong poer How Maude þe Emp(er)esse wente fro Wynchestr(e) vnto Oxen- forde and after she ascapede to Wallyngford and what sorwe and disese she hadde Capitulo vjxx xixno.
