a lorde derste nouȝt meue werre aȝens him noþ(er) to arise and for to make þe lande of ff(ra)unce in quiete and in pees. he wonede þere .ix ȝere. and dede þere manye grete wondres and reprouede menye proute men and luther tyrauntȝ and ham chastisede after his des(er)uise. How king Arthur au(au)ncede alle his men þat had t(ra)uailled in his s(er)uise. Co.lxxixo:. And after ward it bifel þus þat at Estrene þere þat he held a feste at Parys richely he gan au(au)nce his knightes for hire s(er)uice þat him had holpen in his conqueste. He ȝaf to his Stywarde þat me callede. Kay.
