Red rubrication introduces the story of good King Grandobodian, who founded Cambrugge. Red rubrication and illuminated initials ' A ' introduce the stories of King Artogaille and King Hesider (Hesidur). The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

þat made the toun of Cambrugge Capitulo vicesimo nono . After þis Morwith was dede þe britouns crounede Grandobodiane his sone and þis Grandobodian his sone lo(~)ge time regnede in good nesse . and made temples & tounes . and þis Grandobodian made þe toun(~)n of Cambrugg(e) and þe tou(~)n of Graunth(a)m and was wel biloued of riche and of poure for he honourede þe riche and halpe þe pore // þis Gran dobodian had .iiij. sones . Artogaille . Hesidur . Higamus . and Petitur . and whanne he hadde regned .xi ȝere he deide and lith at newe Troye Of Artogaille þat was Grandobodianes sone how he was made king and siþ pult a dou(~)n for his wic [...]kednesse .Capitulo .xxxo. After Grandobodian regned [...] his sone Artogaille .v. ȝere and he bicome so wicked & so sterne þat þe britouns wold nought suffre him to be king but pulte him dou(~)n and made Hesidur his broþ(er) king and he bicome so good and m(er)ciable þat men him callede king of piete // And whanne he had regnede .v.ȝere he had so piete of his broþ(er) Artogaille þat was king bifore and anon he forsoke his dignite and toke his broþ(er) þe croune aȝen and made him king aȝens alle his Britouns wille and afterward þis Ar togaill bicome so good of condiciou(~)s : þat he was wel bilo- ued of al þe lande for he bicome so deboner and free and de de right and resoun to all manere of me(~) and he regned .vj. ȝer and deide and lith at Graunth(a)m How Esider was made king after þe deþ of Artogaille his broþ(er) Capitulo xxxjo. After þe deþ of Artogaille þe britouns crounede anoþ(er) tyme Hesidur . but his too breþ(er)en . Higamus and Petitur had den of him gret despite and eke skorne and ordeynede ham helpe for to werre oppon þe king her broþ(er) . and so þey token hy(~) and pulten him into prisou(~)n þe secounde ȝer of his regne and þey departede al Britaigne bituen ham too . but Higam(us) leuede but vij . ȝer and þo had Petitur al þe lande and he made þe tou(~)n of Pikeringe and after deide þe secounde ȝer of his regne and lith at Pikeringe // How þe Britounes
